1. Bedwetting

Bedwetting or enuresis called when after the age of five years children to pass urin in bed time occurs at least twice a week for 3 months.

It is the most frequently children problem and is known as Shayyamutrata. It is considered to be a vata disorder because of as elimination of urine happens to be the function of vata.

Generally, Bed-wetting before age 7 is not a concern. At this age, your child may still be developing night time bladder control.

Symptoms:
  • Passing urine during day or night sleep

Causes:

It is considered to be a Vata disorder.

In modern science exact causes of bedwetting is unknown, but following factors may effect:

  • A small bladder
  • Inability to recognize a full bladder. .
  • A hormone imbalance.
  • Urinary tract infection.
  • Sleep apnea.
  • Diabetes
  • Chronic constipation.
  • A structural problem in the urinary tract or nervous system.

Ayurvedic Medicine for Fever, Diet & Lifestyle:
  • Intake of water after 7 pm or drink excess fluids should be avoided.
  • Before going to bed Bladder should be emptied.
  • Food that can increase growth of worms should be avoided, e.g. sweet, pani- puri, chocolates, biscuits, cakes, bread, ice creams etc.

Home Remedy:

If bed-wetting continues, treat the problem with patience and understanding. Lifestyle changes, bladder training, moisture alarms and herbal medication may help reduce bed-wetting

Make a combination of 1 g of amla powder, 1g of ashwaganda powder in equal amount and krimikuthar ras 1 tab and Mix them then give 1/2 teaspoon of this powdered twice daily to your child  for 20 days.
