10th Ayurveda Day – 23 Sept 2025: Ayurveda for People and Planet
This year marks the 10th Ayurveda Day, with the theme “Ayurveda for People and Planet.” The theme underlines that Ayurveda is not just a path to nurture human health but also a holistic vision to safeguard the Earth, the environment, and all living beings.
Why the New Date—23rd September?
A significant change has been introduced this year. Until 2024, Ayurveda Day was observed on Dhanvantari Jayanti, but from 2025 on, it will be celebrated on September 23rd. This date coincides with the Autumn Equinox, a time when day and night are equal, symbolizing balance in both nature and life. Ayurveda too is founded on this principle of balance—protecting the health of the people and reducing the suffering of the sick. This makes the date especially meaningful for Ayurveda Day.
The Growing Global Influence of Ayurveda
In recent years, Ayurveda has experienced remarkable global expansion. By 2024, the celebration had reached more than 150 countries, demonstrating that Ayurveda is no longer confined to India but has emerged as a trusted path to wellness worldwide. Today, about 24 countries officially recognize Ayurveda, and its products are exported to over 100 nations. In 2025, Ayurveda Day will be presented as a Global Initiative, with the vision of connecting the entire world to this timeless science of life.
Ayurveda’s Principles in Modern Living
In today’s stressful and fast-paced world, Ayurveda is more relevant than ever. Its guiding principles focus on:
- Balancing overall health and well-being.
- Maintaining balance among Vata, Pitta, and Kapha.
- Cultivating a calm and composed mind.
Through these principles, Ayurveda not only plays a vital role in healing but also offers a roadmap for balanced, meaningful, and sustainable living.
Baidyanath—A Legacy of Tradition and Trust
When we speak of Ayurveda, the name Baidyanath naturally comes to mind. For over a century, Baidyanath has been bringing trusted Ayurvedic products to households across India. Whether it is strengthening immunity or supporting a balanced lifestyle, Baidyanath has consistently earned people’s trust through quality and authenticity. Today, its products are not only a household name in India but also represent Ayurveda across global markets.
A Step Toward the Future
Ayurveda Day is more than just a commemorative occasion—it is a movement, an effort to inspire individuals everywhere to embrace a natural, sustainable, and balanced way of life. This day reminds us that India’s heritage is not limited to one nation but belongs to all of humanity.
In the years ahead, as Ayurveda gains recognition in more countries and integrates with modern science to create new possibilities, it may well be said that Ayurveda Day will no longer be just a celebration of India but a celebration of the entire world.
