Amwatari Ras Tablet from Baidyanath (Jhansi) is an Ayurvedic Ras Aushadhi. Mercury is referred to in Ayurveda as Rasa, and remedies manufactured with refined mercury, sulphur, or bhasma are referred to as Ras aushadhi (Mercurial Preparations). Mercury, sometimes known as para, parad, rasa, or rasa, is a heavy metal that is liquid at ambient temperature. In Ayurveda, it is utilised only after proper purification, as prescribed by old Ayurvedic scriptures. Due to its potent therapeutic effects, parad is employed in a wide variety of medications. It maintains a healthy equilibrium of Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Ras aushadhi (medicine containing parad) has a rapid onset of action. They hydrate the entire body and possess tonic, aphrodisiac, rejuvenating, anti-aging, wound-healing, and antibacterial properties. Due to the Yogvahi feature of parad, combining mercury with other medicinal components increases the therapeutic efficacy of the drug. Amavatari Rasa is used to cure disorders of the Vata dosha. Amavatari Ras aids in the reduction of joint pain, edoema, and stiffness. It alleviates rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis indications and symptoms. In Ayurveda, rheumatoid arthritis is referred to as Amavata. This disease has a direct effect on the affected person's quality of life. The term Amavata is a compound of two words: Ama and Vata. Ama is the undigested food created by Mandagni in the body (sluggish digestive fire). Ama is produced when all metabolic fires (Agni) become sluggish. It is dense (guru), unctuous (Snigdha), immovable (Sthira), clumsy (Sthula), and slimy (Sthula) (Pichhila). Ama is poisonous and circulates throughout the body via Vata, eventually settling in the Sandhis (joints), causing pain, stiffness, and swelling in the joints. Agni (metabolic fire) is a significant element in Amavata.
