Mercury, sometimes known as para, parad, rasa, or rasa, is a heavy metal that is liquid at ambient temperature.
Mercury is referred to in Ayurveda as Rasa, and remedies manufactured with refined mercury, sulphur, or bhasma are referred to as Ras aushadhi (Mercurial Preparations).
